Located just outside of  the historic downtown Amherstburg area, the Edgewater Shangri-la is a short drive to many area attractions, including the City of Windsor, Pointe Pelee and of course the Wine Route. If you want to stay in and relax, the Edgewater Shangri-la offers many natural amenities located on the corner lot of two private, protected canals.

The Stone Patio
Relax and enjoy a great cup of your homemade coffee or a hearty breakfast on the attached custom laid stone patio.  Choose to sit at the 6 seat patio set with grass umbrella or the Adirondack chairs provided by the fire-pit .  A barbecue is there for use with a full set of utensils.  *The local quiet hour is honored after  11pm but we encourage you to continue enjoying the outdoors at a reduced volume.*

The Kitchen
Shangri-la offers a full kitchen with modern appliances.  Cutlery , place settings, baking dishes , cooking utensils wine glasses are all included.  Prepare your own meals, barbecue,  order out or visit one of the many restaurants in the area.

Kitchen Nook
A glass table seating 4 looks out the large window on the side canal and spacious back yard.   A privacy fence of 50ft trees on the yard perimeter makes for a lovely natural background.  Face the other direction and see through the open concept cottage through the sun room and outside to the west front main canal.  The sunset can be seen  though these sun room windows.

Main Living Room
This open concept living space has a rafter ceiling.  A queen sized pull-out sofa bed and love seat sit across from the entertainment armoire which houses the television, DVD,VCR and CD radio stereo player.
Boasting a water view, the living room is a great place to watch a cozy movie.

Sun room
The sun room spans the entire western side of the guest house.  A panoramic view is made possible by the expansive 46 ft of connecting glass windows.  A combination of fixed and opening windows provides a fresh on -shore breeze from the water almost all of the time.

2 Bedrooms 
Both bedrooms are queen sized and tastefully decorated with a water view.  A duvet  and monogrammed sheets make the memory foam topped beds even more appealing.   Dressers and closets make storage convenient for even the largest of packers. 

1 Bathroom
A warmly decorated 4 piece bath with plush towels for 6.

Laundry
A washer and dryer are available in the separate laundry / utility room.  An ironing board and steam iron is also provided.  Please bring your own soap, or plan to purchase it at the store.

Boat Dockage
Pre-requested and Pre-approved boat dockage is available for up to a 50ft boat in the side protected private canal along the steel break wall.  *Water levels fluctuate with weather and season.  We do not guarantee the depth.*
