We are on the Wine Route. It offers many tours and tastings! Special tutoring evening can be arranged based on availability.

Our newly offered family waterfront vacation guesthouse is located on a large private corner treed lot about 15min outside of Windsor, between Lake Erie and Lake St.Clair on the Detroit River. To summarize, it is a fully furnished 2 bedroom (2 queens, a queen pullout and a single futon) sleeping 7 with laundry facilities. There is approximately 46 ft of windows (combination of fixed and opening) for a panoramic westward view over the canal, island and Detroit River. Central Air cools this quiet retreat if the normal shoreline breeze is not adequate. A 6 person patio set, hammock, wrought iron bench propane BBQ, and fire-pit are all close to the interlocking stone patio to enjoy the days from sunrise to sunsets. Badminton, Bocce, Croquet and Horseshoes are all available in the games closet. Quiet hour is observed after 11pm (although we encourage you to continue enjoying the outdoors at a reduced volume.) Linens and plush indoor towels are included. You would only need to bring your food and drink.

The current rate is $1245/ week and $185/day for upto 7 guests ( additional pre-approved overnight guests are $25.00 / night). A $500 security /damage deposit is required at check-in. This will be returned in the same form at check-out if there are no damages or additional cleaning required. There is a minimum 3night rental, with some holiday specialty weeks requiring longer.

You deserve it !   Our guest house offers quiet serenity within 15 minutes of loads of fun!!  Caesar's Windsor casino, nightlife, Windsor Racetrack, the Wine Route, the historic town of Amherstburg....all at your disposal.  Amherstburg's Tourist Centre is only 5 minutes away with all of the area's information including festivals and events.

Just a stroll up the private road, brings you to the Edgewater Gas and Variety Store that carries almost everything you would need...sundry items to firewood, ice, bait and tackle...all while maintaining the ambiance of a privately owned general store, with a candy counter, slushie machine and ice cream!  These are some of the memories your family can share!  You'll want to make Shangri-la your special getaway spot...our family and friends have enjoyed it, now it's your turn to be our guests...

Certainly a game of horseshoes, bocce or badminton could round out your day. 

There are manicures and pedicures and massages offered at this time. The certified massage therapist brings their professional massage table, sheets, pillows, and essential oils and gear. Your options for locations are "indoor" in the sunroom or livingroom or "open-air" on the stone patio beside the water under the willow tree (weather permitting).
